Athena Investors is a boutique capital advisory firm working at the point where infrastructure and energy projects meet the equity that funds them.
We act for developers raising from £30m to £100m+, principally across the UK and Europe, and on a bespoke basis in other regions. On the other side of the table sits a network built over years: small and mid cap private equity, blue chip institutional investors writing large tickets, and single family offices deploying directly from their own balance sheet.
We are deliberately small. Every mandate is handled personally, and we take on a limited number at any one time so that each one gets real attention.

Most developers who come to us have the same two concerns. Will the capital be there, and who is going to find out we are looking.
Our process answers both.
We test appetite on a no names basis first, so the market never sees a project shopped around. A teaser is released only once an investor has confirmed genuine interest. From there we bring both parties onto a call, and NDA and data room follow. Nothing identifying you is released without your approval.
We are paid on success alone, at a rate agreed up front on a call. There is no retainer and no upfront cost. We only earn when the equity lands in your project.

A project taken to the wrong list of funds becomes a project the market has already seen. We would rather make five well judged approaches than fifty speculative ones, and our reputation with the investors in our network depends on us doing exactly that.
